Personally, I think it is all balderdash

Well, the Universe is alleged to have scientific proof to have had a beginning, The Big Bang" (does not apply to just earth, but to the universe) So, it had a beginning. Whatever has a beginning, is created from some sort of creator or intelligent design. That designer, is God. So, you see, the big bang theory can very well be true, but your still left with what cause all the gases and matter to be there in the first place. God put it there.
God, has no beginning and no end, thus needs not to be created. He has always been and will always be.

Most Christians belive that God had no begining and will have no ending. Truly ETERNAL. This is also what the bible clearly claims.
When you consider that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, you have to admit that it's bases is also eternal. Even as an atheist, you would admit that matter comes from energy. When you consider the depths of eternal beginings, with our without God... you begin to understand that everything that could have happened would have happened when considering the the II Law of thermodynamicsb (which basically states that all matter, given enough time, will revert to carbon). Therefore, a Godless existence means that anything that could have been, has been and everything would be carbon by now. However it's not, which strongly indicates some kind of devine interaction.

Christians believe that God has always existed. It's a difficult question to answer, because we're not used to the concept of eternity. We haven't lived it. The difference with the universe, I think, is that from all we've observed the material world has a beginning and an end. We know the universe at least hasn't existed in the same state forever, because it's constantly changing. What is it that originally caused it to alter? One of the differences with God is that he's never changed. He's got a different nature to the material universe. I'm sorry I can't give a better answer. My brain isn't large enough to get my head round it!

God has always existed! The same fact doesnt apply to the universe because in Genisis God created!
I know people just assume Mosas was talking about the Earth, but could God have been creating the universe at the same time! God could have been creating the universe without life. Or he could have already made the universe before Earth!

I believe that many Christians that don't take the Bible literally that God create everything in 7 days, can concede that the universe arose from a massive energy explosion like big bang.
What a lot of people have trouble accepting is that extropy is responsable for the ever increasing complexity and order that we find in life and the laws of the physical universe.
It is hard for them and me to conceive that there was not an intelligent designer to such a intricate design

because God created the Universe. Universe came from God. It has it's orgin... but God does not. God said "I am who I am". God is God.. nothing more, nothing less. Universe was CREATED by God, therefore that theory does not apply. That theory does not apply to anything in this world other than God.

God went throught he same process we are going through. "As man is, God once was; as God is, man can become." Yet I cannot answer how long he has been as he is, for he knows no beggining and no end. The only way I can explain it is this- what happened before the beggining? As unfathomable as eternity is, it is even more perplexing to try to figure out what happened before the beggining, because it is much more logical to think that there is no end to time than to think that nothing came before the beggining. I don't think this answered your question, but I think it shows that this is not a good argument againt the existence of God.

God is the Uncreated, Eternal, Changeless Being. He didn't come out of nothingness. He has always existed outside of time because time is created by God. In the realm of His existence, there can be no beginning and end, no time whatsoever.
It is logically impossible for the universe, which is contingent, to come from nothing. It must be created by an uncontingent and causeless being.

No no no... God was busy in another solar system before he got started on us. Basically we are in God aquariums. He was always there but he had to stop at the Milky Ways for a chocolate bar before he could create us.... and write a book... and schtoop some virgin.... basically we worship "God" but its probably just some loser kid in the intergalactic world who has no friends so he created life and is now playing our lifes like we are Sims.
I want a new house Sim Master!!! And maybe a better job?
