They will fix it but its becomes a pain to go back and return it and its just a big pain. Please note that not all places return bugged items so please take the time to ask for the stores policy. My personal advice is to wait a month to see how the product run's for other people and then make the decision of buying vista.

Nobody can say you can have them fixed on time without problem, without paying anything is true if the bug is so visible Microsoft will fix it for the general public. Hopefully on time but no guarantee on that.

But bug is unavoidable, Mac has tons of it so is Linux and every OS that come and go. Windows is no exception but they are clearly visible because the large user percentile and slower to mobilize for a fix.

if i was buying a new computer i would buy it with vista, however because it's new software there are bound to be problems with it initially.you will be able to get up to date fixes and patches from the microsoft websites.i personally have a 3 month old core2duo pc with vista upgrade but will wait a few months for all the initial problems to be ironed out

try buying from a supplier that ships the system with xp and offers the free vista upgrade. that way you get both and can go back if vista disappoints.
that's the route i took.

They will periodically release "service Packs" to fix bugs, just like they did with XP. XP still has bugs now. If you want a bug-free os use a Linux Distro

No, software is generally provided on an as-is basis and no liability is accepted for loss or damage.

That doesn't say that they won't swiftly move to fix something if lots of people are affected.

If you buy windows it will have bugs, i'm afraid we all have to deal with it everyday. If any problems occur they release updates to download online. That's what the automatic updates are for.
