Small, well trained but, due to penny pinching politicians, under equipped and expected to live in poor accommodation.

First off, to the guy who said the Brits are surrender monkeys, you need to have a mental examination. It is the french idiots who are the surrender monkeys, not the British.

The British are great soldiers. They are superbly trained, and I am sure glad we have them as allies and that we are not fighting them. They could hold their own against anyone in a war :)

I served with a bunch of brits in iraq. I thought they were great soldiers, they came on some convoys with us. On down time, they were just a great group, crazy, but alot of fun to hang out with.

Weatherman has said it! I trained with the UK armed forces on and off for 2 years! Their special ops (SAS - special Air Service) sh*t on our special forces guys, they are light years ahead in fitness and cohesion. In terms of general army and military, they don't compare to what we have in terms of numbers and technology!

Very tough and well trained, although poorly equipped from what I hear.
