There's still dirt because every living soul and plant , and parasite still have to live off of it. We can't survive without it. Even the foods we eat. Those animals had to eat something that came from dirt. And to clarify the bible. It can take on a whole different meaning than what you read. It could mean the evolution of man from amoeba, to fish, to land animals eating parasites and bugs on dirt, to dinosoars, to mammals then man. Think about it. Do your resources. And don't forget, we will die on dirt.

According to the bible, man was created from dirt, so ask God. maybe he spilled some and it went forth and multiplied.

The theory of evolution postulates that man evolved from a water based biological soup.

Same reason there are still monkeys, and whatever else you want to insert in the blank. They weren't ALL required to advance a new branch.

This question and ALL the others like it are getting tiresome. I would NOT call this a 'good job'. I'd call it an obvious kneejerk response.

The people who made up that story were illiterate and ignorant goat herders. The dirt-to-man thing was all they could come up with.

At least they had the excuse of being born into a world that lacked all science. People today have no excuse for such blatant ignorance.

'Ashes to ashes, dust to dust,' right? We're reconstituted, like powdered Tang. Cycle of life, and all that. Plus, there's whole lot more dirt than humans, even yet.
