So, this was my first girlfriend and it wasn't working out that well as it got into like the 6-month range, but I was determined to try and express feelings with each other and make it work I guess. Anyway, my gf had the gawl to block me from myspace and not even break up with me, even thought that's what she wanted and I didn't really want to break up, but she wasn't working at it, and so after about 2 weeks of all that, I broke up with her and I've had it. Everybody else likes me and she's the first person in my entire life that's insulted me and actually meant it. What should I do? I thought I was a nice, ethical, generous guy and I'm not trying to brag. Oh yeah, the thing that got to me was once I got to really start knowing her, there was a large difference in values and we started to disagree at that point.

Okay... I meant someone close to me insulting me and if you're only going to judge me, then please, please don't answer.

Everyone thinks that they are a nice, ethical, generous guy.

Your comments sound more like you are very judgmental with the talk about the large difference in values.

Maybe in the future you should try to be more tolerant of the values of others.

I'm not totally sure what you're asking. What should you do about what? Are you asking if you should feel bad about the break-up?

ETA - What should you do about someone close to you insulting you? Pretty much nothing at all. You can't *stop* someone from insulting you, no matter how much you might wish him to do so. Freedom of speech and all that. (Unless this actually gets into a slander issue - but then you'd be asking your question in the completely wrong forum). You could try to find it in yourself to forgive any cruel words flung your way and say a prayer for the person doing the slinging, but that's it. And, I'm still not certain what you thought God was leading you to do.

Forgive her, pray for her and move on.

the truth of a relationship is we always can do better.

my grandfather would always tell me there are 3 side to every story... 3 i asked? with wisdom and understanding he said yes my boy His, Hers and the truth.

if you really want to make the best of this situation, forget about blame. i guarantee you there's plenty to go around. humble yourself before God and ask Him to reveal to you how you could have redeemed the relationship or any given situation.

the hard thing to do is look at ourselves and see where we missed it. since the garden men & women have been playing the blame game. in this way you will learn and grow and be better prepared for the next relationship you get into.

don't forget to seek Godbefore you hookup with another young lady. if you wait for the right one you will avoid so many problems. and you will truly have a help mate. may the Holy Spirit guide and keep you.

Don't let this bother you so much. If there's a difference in the way she presented herself when you first met her, and now she's showing her true self, I believe that shows dishonesty on her part. If you value honesty, think about that.
