It really depends on what make/model of each technology you're comparing, but in general, for the same amount of money, you can get a higher quality DLP set than the other two technologies. (although you should factor in the bulb replacement cost in your calculations as well, since DLP bulbs need to be replaced every ~5000 hours [say 4 years of normal use] at a cost of about $200-$250, but flat panel LCDs and Plasmas do not incur this cost. Considering this, the difference in cost is smaller than might appear, but still I think DLPs are a better value).

Below an excerpt from an article about a test Texas Instruments did. I not read it all, but, it may help, the link is below. What I do want to say, and it an opinion from people who work on these types of TV's. They may not be very reliable over time (DLP, LCD and Plasma), in other words they not have a good life expectancy before they have trouble. I am actually working on an RCA projection TV today (More reliable, but, not sure of picture quality compared to the others you mention), it about 8 years old and they considered not a good TV. But, the rear projections use an assembly of 3 color projectors that reflect off a large mirror and seem to have better reliabilty.
Here the introduction from the article:
"There has been a lot of email asking for comments on a test recently published by Texas Instruments that examined the reliability of the DLP and LCD technologies. In essence, the test results seemed to indicate that DLP-based projectors deliver stable picture quality over their expected usable life, whereas LCD projectors may be expected to degrade over time. This has prompted two obvious questions: Was TI's test valid? And should the results of the test be taken into consideration by consumers who are about to purchase a projector? This article will attempt to address these questions for readers who are concerned about it".

Go and compare them yourself. DLP is FAR superior in quality to the others and without the innate problems (LCDs lose pixels and Plasmas burn in) the others have.
