I suggest you not to go for expensive equipment..

you might want to start with rented club, if you want to have your own equipment for a start you might want to get some like Ram, Wilson or Adams golf...

starter set 3iron, 5 iron, 7 iron, 9 iron, putter. sets run $ 40.00 -$ 70.00 dont want to spend a lot if you dont like the game.

Decent set of Wilson's or Ram will work just fine !!
