yes, blow drying your hair can cause damage. But usually, the damage is worsened in conjunction with overly brushing, using the wrong kind of brush, tying hair too tight, overshampooing, and a slew of other things.
Applying any heat element to wet hair can cause boiling in the hair shaft if the element is too hot. This boiling can cause breakage and split ends. Overtime, blowdrying your hair everyday can lead to damage.
I found that blowdrying my hair all the time when I was younger actually changed the texture of my hair as I got older. By my Junior year of high school my hair was coarse dry and frizzy. I hated it!
Well, I cut my hair short and stopped using a blowdryer - unless I had to for a big event.
What I find best for saving time is to towel dry and then blow dry my hair damp/dry on a low temp setting, then let the rest naturally dry. Now my hair is at my waist and really healthy. I barely have to brush it in the mornings, and I don't use any products other than good ole' shampoo and conditioner. I get compliments from my peers often.

Ive heard that it does damage, but i shower everyday, and i always blow dry my hair..and my hair isnt damaged at all. I go get my hair cut every month or two, and my hairdresser says my hair is in grade condition. She says it looks like i dont do anything to it, but i do. So really im not sure that it does damage your hair, but everyones hair might be different! hope i helped you!!

Probably....but you can reduce the damage by trying to hold the dryer at least 10 inches away hair...so it does not "burn" the hair. Also, never ,never dry hair that is not pretty well towel- dried. Using a good leave-in conditioner can help protect the hair shaft, too.

yeah. i've heard that it destroys brain cells or something. im not sure though. i do the same thing as you though (blow dry everyday) and my hair seems to be alright. maybe, for a few days in the week you should just towel dry it and then let it dry on its own if you are comfortable and have enough time on your hands.

it depends. very hot blow drying on dry hair is damaging. If you keep your hair conditioned and you don't use a very hot blow dryer, you'll be fine

To a certain extent, yes. Try to alternate days when blowdrying, so one day you will, the next day just let it airdry. Heated tools eventually dry out your hair and can leave it brittle or damaged.

a friend of mine is a hairdresser. she told before that if you do anything like that to your hair it damages it. like a flat iron etc... but they do have stuff to put on your hair before you start to style your hair that reduces it a little.

Certainly, I personally refuse to do it to my hair
unless I'm in a hurry, do it so quickly and leave
it a littlle damp. I actually choose a fan.

If your hair isn't greasy or dirty you could skip a day to avoid dryness
