you need your SSN, filing status and the amount of the refund you are expecting

The IRS says 8 - 15 days. Mine came in in 4 days last year. Those are if you have your refund sent directly to your bank. If you elect a paper check, they say it will take 2 - 3 weeks.

It still depends on when you file . . . file early , beat the rush and get it in a couple of weeks if nothing makes the computer go tilt.
Wait until april and you should see it in summer, or fall or . . .
The later you file, the longer you wait.

If you direct deposited, approx. 5 business days. There is a "check my refund" thing over at http://www.irs.gov.
