Color is such a personal thing! I like green, but not yellow-green. I like red, but not orange-red. You probably should visit the color selection display at a paint store. Pick out the largest samples available. Take them home and tape them to your walls, but use the blue painter's tape as other tape can damage the current finish. Look at the samples at different times of the day and night to see how the color is affected by the lighting.

Warm colors (yellow, orange, and red) are considered uplifting, and invigorating. Cool colors (purple, blue, and green) are considered calming, and soothing. However the mix of opposite colors (yellow with purple, or orange with blue) cause a mood of excitement by clashing in a positive way. I'm speaking of color in the most general way, of course.

Red is the most difficult color to use, as the paint is often more transparent (less pigment to carrier), and can streak. I have heard that the cure is to use yellow as a primer. Conversely, use yellow to cover a dark color before painting the wall with the new color you want. And don't use a cheap paint.

It all depends on the room you are going to paint!! I believe each room should be colored in different colors to fit the spirit in the room .I believe in color therapy in which each color contributes to certain emotions (relaxation , energy ,passion and so on...).anyway blue ,yellow and green are relaxing colors while purple and red tones are more energizing .Of course it doesn't have to be some off the top of the wall just a color tone in the same family .Look through decorating magazines or pictures on the net and it will definitely help you create the desired look you are after

Pull a color out of one of your favorite pictures, painting, or piece of art that will be in the room, and go from there. Keep your furniture and drapes in mind unless you are changing them too:) You can also search wallpaper books for something "jazzy"
Good Luck!

Paint it a very nice light greeny color... not wildly bright or deep and dark, but also not pastel green. It's a very nice color!
