Here is California, driving while unlicensed is a misdemeanor. You should DEFINITELY get your license before you go to court. Doing so will likely result in a significant reduction in any fine you may face. In California this is not a correctable citation that the police could "sign off." You will need to see a judge on this one.

If you b\never had a license then it is driving without a license and they will give you a fine and depending on the tickets that you received you may have enough points to get your license suspended which means before you can even go and do the neccesary steps to get a license you ahve to pay the fines and in MD go to driver improvement but if you did have a license just show up to court with your license and pay the court cost and whatever fines or violations occured. you are pretty much sol pay the ticket and hope it don't effect you getting a license

Yes you do, and they will usually suspend the ticket, but the judge will want to see it.

Present a license that was valid at the time you were summonsed......The key words here are "valid at the time you were summonsed".
