1 cup crunchy peanut butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
DIRECTIONS
Cream together butter, peanut butter and sugars. Beat in eggs.
In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir into batter. Put batter in refrigerator for 1 hour.
Roll into 1 inch balls and put on baking sheets. Flatten each ball with a fork, making a criss-cross pattern. Bake in a preheated 375 degrees F oven for about 10 minutes or until cookies begin to brown. Do not over-bake.

Recommend sifting flour for lighter more tastier cookies.

Buy a jar of jif and follow the recipe. Off all peanut butter cookie recipes that I have tried, that has always been the best. They cookies turn out nice and soft. Another recipe that you can try is on the hershey's website. For peanut butter blossom cookies. You don't have to do the hershey kisses but I always use jif peanut butter instead of what the recipe calls for. I tried to cut and paste the recipe but they did not work, so I am sending you to the web site.

I use the one from betty crocker and doulble the peanut butter. Of course you have to use Jiff. Awesome cookies, just make sure you just let them start turning brown around the edges. If they start to get hard put a slice of white bread in with them. Also don't make them too thin, I make mine about 1/2 inch thick
