You're probably pretty safe in Belize, although they have got a few hurricanes over the years. Apparently, Belize is at about the same latitude of where most hurricanes start off the western coast of Africa but as you know a lot of hurricanes head north once they get into the Caribbean - to places like Florida or the Carolinas.
If you really want to get away from the hurricanes... go to Hawaii! Although the weather isn't necessarily 100% guaranteed to be sunny every single day (who can guarantee the weather anyway, really?) and although it's probably a bit pricey to fly there from Canada... it might be a consideration if you want to stay away from the Caribbean during hurricane season. Good luck on avoiding the hurricanes eh!

Go to Hawaii if you're into beaches. If you like the desert and southwest culture, try New Mexico or Arizona. I guarantee it will be HOT!
