Some people think its true.
They haven't logic'ed out what they are saying. I know. It's hard to understand.
I used to be one back in my Xian childhood so I understand the point the poster was trying to make, however I also understand that it is based on absolutely 0 % evidence, unless you count the fact that we have some ancient texts. Of course that doesn't mean they tell the truth. Oh well. SSDD

hmmm...I hope it is a joke, faith cannot be based on evidence...
unless, he meant...sometimes people go thru things, and then God delivers them, and then later something else happens, and then u can look back and remember what God did for you, last time. That strengthens your faith, and helps you to believe that God will do it again. That could be considered faith by evidence, and when u look at it like that, then, logically...

21 And now as I said concerning faith—faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true.

<.<; Last time I checked, faith was a general consensus on why and what things are, as well as how things should be; I agree with shinto because I've seen what it explains and I like the ideals it upholds. By no means can we offer any physical "proof" (disregarding the mirror and sword held in the shrine to Amaterasu at Ise). So, a big fat no would suffice there.

No, Hebrews 11:1.. What is faith. It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen..Sin breaks our relationship with with God. A holy God cannot live with unholy people. But when we accept Jesus as Savior and ask him to forgive our sins, this simple act of faith makes us righteous in God's sight.

Faith is a belief, trust, or confidence, not based on logic, reason, or empirical data. The bible for some is a fact although it's claims are completely ridiculous some choose to live in biblical fantasy land ignoring all recent scientific discoveries. or shifting their bible facts to suit them so they do not feel so ridiculous.

God has clearly revealed Himself in nature (Romans 1:20) and in the hearts of people (Ecclesiastes 3:11). The problem is that the human race is sinful; we all reject this knowledge of God and rebel against Him (Romans 1:21-23). Apart from God's grace, God would give us over to the sinful desires of our hearts, All people are accountable to God whether they have “heard about Him” or not. The Bible tells us that God has allowing us to discover how useless and miserable life is apart from Him. This He does for those who reject Him (Romans 1:24-32).
In reality, it is not that some people have not heard about God. Rather, the problem is that they have rejected what they have heard and what is readily seen in nature. Deuteronomy 4:29 proclaims, “But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.” This verse teaches an important principle: everyone who truly seeks after God will find Him. If a person truly desires to know God, God will make Himself known.
The problem is, “there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God” (Romans 3:11). People reject the knowledge of God that is present in nature and in their own heart, and instead decide to worship a “god” of their own creation.

Well, I don't think he was joking, Unfortunately, I think he honestly seems to believe that.
If you had evidence for something you would not have to believe in it on faith, you would accept it as fact.

Websters defines Faith as belief that is not based on proof. No room for evidence in that.
