I feel like I'm more selfconcious and critical of myself after he said this (even if it was meant to hurt). We aren't physically intimate. Can you get over and forget things like this? Will it get worse with more intimacy and actually being naked in front of him?

Be happy with your self, if YOU want to tone your stomach then do that, and if you don't, then tell him to shut up!!!

I was really self concious before, but the more I was naked around my ex, the more comfortable I got with it. The first few times you'll probably be more nervous, but just do it slowly, like, having just your top/bottom off until you get used to that, and so on. Also, if you're in a situation where you can be naked by yourself, just like sleeping or anything, you'll get more comfortable with your body.

Dont know what he said sweetie but evidently it was not nice you should not put up with crap like that from some immature dumbass who is probably just pissed because your not intimate with him.You need to find someone that appriciates you for the woman that you are,not be some bull crap fantasy poster chic he has pinned on his wall or as his screensaver.Do not lose hope all men are not complete loser ******* like that.Good luck angel.

Why would you even give him the privilege of getting more intimate with you after he made such an ignorant comment about your body? If he feels that way about your body, then he shouldn't want to get intimate with you...don't reward him.
It's called mental abuse. He'll get worse through time.

I would of told him that if he wanted a Victoria secret models body to find himself another gf and that until you feel like you need to shape up you don't want to hear his negative criticism about how your stomach looks...
