Milk can actually create stomach pains, bloating, severe gas, and diarhea. There is absolutely nothing beneficial to human's in cow's milk.

Humans are the only animal that drinks milk past infancy, and then it's not even from the correct species! Too many people are still trying to defend milk's supposed health benefits. Unfortunately, they are either using old information or information obtained from research funded by the dairy association. How many people would enjoy a glass of dog's milk or rat's milk? What makes cows special?

There are only two reasons which I've found to support humans drinking cow's milk. We have grown up hearing that it's good for us and we've grown accustomed to the taste and texture. There is absolutely no nutrition that can not be obtained elsewhere, minus the negatives. Calcium seems to be the major claim for milk. It can be found elsewhere in green vegetables, almonds, and many other sources. Where do you think the cows obtain the calcium to put into the milk? Where do other larger animals (elephants, horses, deer, whales, etc) get calcium? Why we continue to drink cow's milk laced with growth hormones, antibiotics, and who knows what else is beyond me.

Since I've given up drinking milk about 5 years ago my health has greatly improved. I suffer fewer allergy problems, asthma and breathing problems are greatly reduced, I'm sleeping better, and I have more energy.

In the '50s smoking was considered harmless but now we realize its dangers. One person at a time and eventually the truth will become widely known that cow's milk is only for baby cows. Milk is indeed the perfect food, but only for infants of the proper species.

Do some research online and decide for yourself.

Not really. If your stomach problems are caused by acid (or if you have an ulcer) it will make it worse as it makes you produce more acid.

If you have stomach pains often you should go to the doctor. If they are caused by stress you need to learn to cope with that stress. Change your environment. You can get a bleeding ulcer if you're not careful.

Now stomach pains can be caused by many things IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) no pop, milk or chocolate) or you could have other bowel disease happening too like Crohns or ulcerative colitis.

Get a doctor to look at you.

I suffered with ulcers when I was young and milk may make it feel better for about 15 minutes then the stabbing sharp pains set it. Milk should be completely avoided for a week or so after any intestinal flu bug or food poisoning. It's terrible for IBS, causes gas and bloating. Whatever you do don't take aspirin as if you have an ulcer it could make it bleed. They will never give you aspirin once you've had an ulcer and you should not take Ibuprofen (Motrin or Advil) either. That stuff is good for muscular pain and has anti-inflammatories in it.

You know I used to smoke. I quit years ago and from the minute I quit I NEVER had another problem with my stomach again. I have a tummy of steel now and can eat and drink whatever I want.

Don't drink alcohol either till you know what you are dealing with.

I agree with the other answers you've received.... there are many different answers depending on what the cause of the stomach pain is. For me, personally, milk is a godsend for when I have stomach pain caused by gas or hunger or heartburn. The milk coats the lining of my stomach and I get relief almost immediately. So please do go ahead and try it if you haven't already. You may find that you can eliminate this problem like I did. If it doesn't work, I think it would be a good idea to tell your doctor about it. Best wishes. Donna

I wouldn't see it hurting as long as you pump just incase, I use Enfamil Lipil with Iron i dont know exactally what formulas are used for sensitive tummys but im sure there are some. I breastfed until i had to wean due to weight gain problems and my baby is happier and seems to be developing much better now. To make the switch we used Drop Ins and then switched to the Dr. Brown bottles which promise to eliminate gas and spit up and I LOVE these bottles, they are difficult to clean but really help (spit up was a regular part of my day the whole time i breastfed, and i usually wore it!) In some cases formula is better, and formula is so much closer to breast milk these days, do not feel guilty.

Yes , for certain types of stomach pain ;
milk and milky puddings and light food,
such as scrambled egg, can be very affective,
in soothing pain, in someone with gastric ulcers.

Ant-acids are given in conjunction of such a diet .

nooo... maybe for some, but youd be surprised how many people get upset by milk. if i were you id try little tests when you have time (NOT if you have work or school the next day) to see if it works for you. and whoever said ibuprofen for upset stomachs? dont take any pain-relievers for stomach pain (they cause cramping), take things like tums or pepto bismal.

no, milk is not good for indigestion. it just makes it worse. as for as other types of stomach pain are concerned I can't see why it would help any stomach pain, but it definitely makes indigestion worse.
