i have tried to grill steaks on this grill and didnt have any luck. since its too cold outside to grill i suggest using the broiler. it only takes a few minutes and you get a nice looking crust on the top. the only thing i have succesfully cooked on that thing is chicken. Good luck

Average cooking time seems to be around 6 minutes, but check it after 5. I own a George Foreman grill and looked this up in the "cookbook" which came with the grill. As an aside, though, the quality of anything you cook on that grill is less than optimal...I got it as a gift and only keep it around because my kids think it is a neat way to cook hot dogs. It dosn't get used much. As a proud (educated) redneck from upstate N.Y., I grill outside year-round. The only thing that gets in my way is lack of daylight--harder to tell if your venison sausage is cooked properly!! At any rate, good luck with those steaks...and if you want a nice sauce to go with that melt some butter in a small frying pan, add some finely diced onion, and some Merlot liquor. If you know anyone who sells "Tastefully Simple" products, they sell an excellent Merlot sauce--great on steaks!!! Good luck with yours!

The Foreman Grills heat up quickly, so it shouldn't take very long at all to cook your steaks. I personally love his grills.
