Answer to question:
1. Read the Bible, search and find it for yourself.
Check Ecclesiastes and John.
2. See question 1.
3. He does. Do you want Him to come out of the sky in a big booming voice calling your name? You may not always like the answer, He can answer 'no' or 'later', you know.
4. You want to see Him physically? He already came. Read Luke in the Bible.

God is not selfish. You are the one who is selfish. First of all, are you praying with a sincere heart? Are you really listenting to the answer? If you were, you might be able to recieve your answers. But just in case you can't:
We are here to learn of Christ, become more like him, improve ourself each day and so on..but the ultimate reason is that life is a test and God wanted to see which of his children would follow him and make the right choices in this life.
God is in heaven right now and he's not going to just appear to you for several reasons. One of which is that you don't have enough faith.

God is not selfish. God knows more then us so we cannot possibly understand why he does what he does, but in the grand scheme of things, maybe what we're asking for isn't so important or doesn't fit into his plan for us...
The question as to why... that is for him to know, and us to learn as we live. If he appeared in front of you and explained it all, it would probably be too big to wrap our minds around.
He won't answer your prayers? Well, depends on what you are praying for... he will answer and show you in ways he chooses. If you're telling God what to do and expecting him to do it.... well, thats just silly.
God is everywhere. You can see him if you let him into your heart, life and soul. Faith will show you, he gives so much, and I know personally, in the past I have had a hard time crediting that to him.
I've gone through hard times and gotten into trouble, I've lived a very godless exsistence in my past. And during that time, I've cursed God, asking why me and how could and what... but you know what? Now that I've been through it I can say that I'm a better person because I came out of that, and God gave me that experience and for that I am thankful. And if I hadn't had that experience, I might be a diferent person... he has a reason and a purpose for doing what he does. Just be thankful for what you have and what you don't and do the best you can... he will guide you.

He is definitely elusive but did make a mark in history for 33 years.
He will be coming back sooner than most of us think.
He told us to keep looking up.
Your desparation won't help, He calls the shots.
He is not required to answer all prayers. He tells us that we have to ask the right kind of prayer before He will answer it.
You have to be in a right relationship with Him first.
Why you are here, He told you in the bible, and that is to give glory to Him. In other words tell Him how wonderful He is. He responds very favorably to that. He does not want us to be selfish, so He is in reality training us to not be selfish.
He wants you to confess your sins to Him, because He loves to forgive a repentant heart.
God bless you richly after you do the above. I know He will !!!

God is not selfish. He gave you mortal life and has offered you eternal life. He has given you a computer or access to one. Im also assumeing that you have food and a house. If it were not for His generous grace and love we would have long ago been wiped from the frace of the earth.
Try lisenting more and praying and prehaps you will hear God telling you why we are hear and answers for other things.
Are the motives for the things you pray for pure? If not that is why God is not giving it to you. If they are pure then you need to trust that He has good reasons for not giving it to you. God knows best.
God is everywhere. In the sky, the ocean, fields, plains, woods, all around you, and in you if yoyu allow Him.
You must wait for God to reveal Himself in His timeing.
Trust Him
God Bless

He really just doesn't ever show up...which leads me to conclude that he does not exist. That's just my conclusion, so I can't help you with the god questions. But you seem very upset.
Aren't there any human beings around that you could look to for support? Like us, maybe? Judging by some of the answers I see here from your fellow believers, you might want to talk with an atheist. You can contact me from my profile if you need to talk, just because I'm Godless doesn't mean I'm heartless.

God is not selfish, he cares about all of us and we are all part of his divine plan. If you are having problems go to church and talk to your priest, if your problems continue maybe you should consider switching religions. That is a big choice though so make sure you are positive if you go down that road. Sometimes when it seems like God isn't there, after awhile, you realize he was there all along and you were just looking to hard.

He ain't selfish
You need to find out why you are here, it's a simple question, ask it to yourself, no one is gonna answer it but you.
Answer the first question you will get the answer of this one.
He will always answer true prayers, not defying one, when Jesus was on the cross, they told him to get himself down, so He proves he is the messiah, and he didn't, "You shall not put the Lord your God to the test." (Lucas 4-12)
God is always there for you, do search Him and you will find Him, He is standing there for you and will be waiting your return.
You seem Him everyday, just open your eyes.

You don't see all the needs in the world today ? Yet you moan because you don't know what to do.Just open your eyes and ears. There is so much that needs to be done.People are suffering all around you and what have you done to help ?Why would God ask anything of you if you can't see or hear what needs to be done there would be no sense to ask anything else of you.

i don't think he is selfish allthough i think he is really hard on weaker people. It's not fair, if you are weak, like you were born with severe depression, and you get into drugs or bad habits or you commit suicide he does not let you into heaven, or what about the unforgivable sins like adultry, what if you commited adultry when you were 18 but for 60 years after that you only did good and worshipped him, people and i feel like god, don't care, you are still considered a whore and you have to burn in hell, what the **** is with that?
