My freinds dont like him but i really do shkould i take in consideration there feelings or just ask him out cause i am kind of shy?

You can't not date him because your friends don't like him. Maybe they don't know him like you do and when they get to know him better they'll like him too.
Don't let his age put you off either, 3 years isn't a great difference and as women develop faster then men you probably need him to be a little older so you can relate to him.
As for being shy you just have to fake a little confidence and tell him how you feel. You'll feel much better for it in the end.
