I am assuming that it is a breaded chicken finger or maybe even a fish stick. If that is the case, then it is safe to eat. Probably what happened in there may have been some of the product from the previous production left on the line and got mixed in with the french fries. If is does not look like it went through the assembly line or like another product that the company makes then take this product back to the store.
Whether you take it back or not call the company that made the product and let them know. They may need to following info from you, the UPC number, where you bought it, etc. They may end up sending you several coupons for additional products as an apology from them for the inconvienance. I once bought a box of ice cream cones that were supposed to be a variety pack and all it had was one flavor, I called and complained and they sent me four coupons for free products as an apology.

Gawd - that poor chicken - how will you get that finger back to him?
The plant that processed the fries probably does all kinds of frozens foods. That lone chicken finger was stuck in the equipment when they shifted products, and your bag of fries just happened to be there when it came free. I have seen similar things with different kinds of fries in one bag, or misbagged veggies, but never totally different products.
I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Hi. I had something similar happen. I bought a bag of frozen fries and found a frozen shrimp. I went ahead and fixed the fries and they were fine. I did go on line and e-mail the manufacturer about what happened (save your box/bag). They sent me a letter and said that their processing center makes several different frozen food items and this rarely happens but there is nothing to worry about. They sent me free coupons too. I hope this helps.

If you like frozen chicken fingers, you could cook it and eat it. If not, throw it out. It just means that somehow the frozen food company got something into the wrong package. And if the question is, "Can I sue them for lots of money?", the answer is no, unless you are allergic to chicken and had to be hospitalized for it.

You could take it back and tell them there is cross contamination. the store will give you a new bag. This type of stuff happens often at manufacturing plants that make more than one item. Sometimes its as simple as someone putting something on the wrong belt or something getting missed during cleaning between products. There also may be a customer satisfaction number on the bag you could call it factories do investigations of cross contaminates to try and make their products more reliable. You are lucky it turned out to be a food item in the factory I worked in we sometimes had claims for peoples work gloves loosing threads or other pieces of equipment into the final product.

That's no big deal is it? The processing plant obviously is not restricted to one frozen item. Their Quality Control department would likely want to know that you had this experience however. Send them an e-mail or short note advising them of what you found. They will respond, that's a given.

Obviously, the company makes both.
Enjoy the fact that you got a chicken finger at a french fry price.

As long as it wasn't a human finger....In fact, are you SURE it WASN'T a human finger and the batter made it LOOK like a chicken finger? You might have ate french fries that had a human finger in them!! GROSS!!! Or even worse ate a human finger!

I have also had this happen before. I have had french fries in a sack of Tater Tots and french fries in a sack of Mozzarella sticks. Don't know how potatoes and cheese could get mixed together like that.
