blaspemy basically is considered to be anything that contradicts what the bible has to say about certain matters just like for instance the theory of evolution or the big bang or even saying that the universe came about by energy and matter is contradictory to the theory of creationsim

Blasphemy includes the act of claiming the attributes or prerogatives of God, or ascribing these to another person or thing. See for instance, Acts 12:21, 22. The Jewish religious leaders accused Christ Jesus of blasphemy because he said that the sins of certain persons were forgiven (Matthew 9:2, 3; Mark 2:5-7; Luke 5:20, 21). They felt he was ascribing to himself a prerogative which belonged only to God. They also tried to stone him as a blasphemer because he said he was God’s Son. (John 10:33-36) They felt that meant he was claiming to be God - a right that belonged of course to God alone. Then when Jesus made a statement to the Sanhedrin regarding God’s purpose toward him and the high position that was going to be granted him, the high priest accused Jesus of blasphemy, for which Jesus was condemned as worthy of death. (Matthew 26:63-66 and Mark 14:61-64)
Christ Jesus definitely said that blasphemy against the holy spirit will not be forgiven - either in this life or the next to come. You don't feel that's fair? You feel that it's wrong? Or do you feel that Jesus did not know what he was talking about? On what basis do you feel this is wrong? Don't you think God is better qualified to set the standard than humans?

Jesus talked this way about Blasphemy.
31 “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.
The New King James Version. 1996, c1982 . Thomas Nelson: Nashville
Main Entry:blas£pheme
Pronunciation:blas-*f*m, *blas-*
Function:verb
Inflected Form:blas£phemed ; blas£phem£ing
Etymology:Middle English blasfemen, from Late Latin blasphemare — more at BLAME
Date:14th century
transitive verb
1 : to speak of or address with irreverence
2 : REVILE, ABUSE
intransitive verb : to utter blasphemy
–blas£phem£er \-*f*-m*r; *blas-*f*-m*r, -f*-m*r\ noun
As you can see, the only blasphemy that is not forgiven (the unforgivable sin) is if you talk against the Holy Spirit. This is because the Holy Spirit is in all of us to help us. Why would you speak against one who is constantly helping you, if you accept it.

Blasphemy is irreverence toward something considered sacred or inviolable. The best example I can think of is to simply read through the Questions in R&S. You will see a lot of great examples.

see also self righteousness and justified homicide
you must first believe in a perfect god who has given a command that then enable the possibility to 'blaspheme' or speak against this thing, resulting in eternal damnation
I think the idea there is another life that is better than the only one we have is blasphemy
it trivialized and minimizes the glorious one we have now for one we do not yet have or can prove, also sets the premise for who goes, who does not, etc

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit not blasphemy in general is the unforgivable sin. It is the life long rejection of Christ.
