I mean really now, how can someone believe that love over the internet is possible? An the question is coming from me--someone who met a guy on the net. And it's not just like any other guy. He's really special, he get's me in a way that no other guy has done before. But I mean, I'm from Romania and he's from L.A.--we are so far away from each other. We send messages every day, but I don't think that's enough. Or maybe I just can't believe in love anymore... But I believe that in order to love someone you should be able to touch him, to talk to him...and all that kind of things. Do you have another opinion?

Don't be afraid to talk to real guys in the flesh, you will have better luck with a more meaningful relationship. Internet relationships are "safe", meaning I think you are afraid of getting hurt so you create a relationship with someone who can't really get close enough for them to hurt you. Take a chance, its worth the risk. Besides everybody gets hurt, its how you grow and learn.

Strictly over the net.. NO i dont believe thats possible.. but i've met quite a few people from the net.. one that lasted in a 3 year relationship... You have to do face to face as well.. otherwise whats really the point unless yer thing is typewritten cybersex stuff (which is all some want granted)

He's Los Angles & yer Romanian.. man thats gonna be a culture shock no matter how you cut it LOL (particularly when you find out hes really a 400 LB fat bald 50 year old in a wheelchair LOL)

Yep ya gotta see touch etc.. yer right.. Nets a good way to start and weed out riff raff.. but they keep making better idiots these days so dont be suprised if its a trick (Women are no better believe me.. been there)

That kind of distance is incredible to really hope that you will sustain a relationship. I was dating a man that only lived 30 minutes away. He works a lot and I go to college and work. Appearently we didn't see enough of one another to sustain anything because we are now over.

i believe the computer can be a way of "meeting someone". However, for trust, loyalty, intimacy, & love to be built it must involve face to face contact....While the computer is a great way to keep in touch with loved ones separated by miles.....it can't replace human contact....(i know alot of ppl will disagree with me) but everyone is entitled to their opinions. Computers have ruined alot of relationships. I think it's important to not let the allure of the ease of computer relationships to isolate you from the "real world"....

you should be able to touch...eventually. if you two are not making plans to be together somehow at some point in your future...touch is limited to dreams. its entirely possible to love someone through the internet, but unless you are in constant contact with each other it can become lonely and sad to kiss your computer goodnite.
