So many Christians seem to have a sin rating system. Is there any scriptural backing for rating sins? If so, What is God's sinometer look like?

Sin is an outdated concept. No fixed set of rules applies to much. It's better to think for yourself and work out how you relate to others.

It only takes one sin to keep someone out of heaven and God's perfect holiness is the standard by which sin is judged.

According to God all sins are equal, everything we do is laced with sin (i.e. selfishness), no one can redeem themself, and all sins can be forgiven to those who have faith in Christ (except blaspheming the Spirit which is the same as not having faith).

In the Law, the punishments for sins varied but the ultimate punishment, death, was the same for all sins.

"Our Lord said to Pilate (John 19:11): 'He that hath delivered me to thee, hath the greater sin,' and yet it is evident that Pilate was guilty of some sin. Therefore one sin is greater than another.
"Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin." - John 19:11
"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Jesus said that some sins are greater than others, but he also said that they could be forgiven.

Jesus died for all of our sins, big and small, past, present and future.

But something tells us that it is a bigger sin to murder than it is to steal food for the hunger.

My final answer is NO.

How should I know? I'm atheist and I'm probably sinning my head off.

Jesus said to not judge others by their sins.

But it seems that many Christians today missed that part of the Bible.

God sees all sin in the same way, except for blasphemy, which is unforgivable.
