u never know........i don't play the lottery either, not because i don't gamble but because i don't see why the cut off time for buying tickets is 7.30 when they don't draw the numbers till late! its a fix if you ask me, they'll be checking which numbers are in play before drawing it!!!!!!!!

The earlier answer is absolutely correct .... the same chance as any other six numbers. To demonstrate this, re-identify every number with a colour coding instead of a number ... the colour coding can be any combination of say six colours. You can probably see then that an arithmetic progression, such as 1,2,3,4,5,6 has no real meaning in lottery selection terms and is just six adjacent balls .... the colour coding would then be meaningless in terms of luck of selection but would simply identify the choice. BUt to REALLY answer your question, I think the answer is 49x48x47x46x45x44 : to one! Meaningless in real everyday terms but it does show just how big the odds are and even winning a tenner seems out of easy reach. The only reason that people do the lottery is that we love to dream .....

As likely as any other combination, as already stated around 14.7 million to 1 but reportedly around 10,000 people play 1,2,3,4,5,6 every week so if the numbers do come up the share of the jackpot would be only be about £50,000.
Apparently the most commonly played numbers are 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42.

The probability of the sequence 1,2,3,4,5,6 being selected from 49 numbers is the same as any for randomly selected sequence, about 14.7 million to 1.
Out of interest, I wrote a program to simulate the UK national lottery draw, I "won" the jackpot after just short of 30,000 years with an expenditure of 3 million quid. I guess that's why it's called the idiot tax.

If you want to have fun for lottery game with no cost, you can check http://ww.killerjackpot.com . It is pretty cool site, just click ad or select your own lucky number and then you could win the jackpot. They use mega million drawing number as site drawing number. I use this site for recording my tickets history. best of all , no surveys, just playing.
