people are saying that with abortion you are killing an innocent, but aren't we killing innocent people during war? innocent people get killed all the time during war, especially during guerrilla warfare. our soldiers rape and murder men women and children. why can't right wing a**holes see that. i'm not saying that that's worse than abortion, or abortion is better, but can't you see that they are on the same plain?

Internal consistency has never been much of an issue in politics... But you could make the distinction that war is "necessary" whereas abortion is "unnecessary". I think that's a very weak argument though.

Does that mean you are willing to stand around and do nothing while someone kills others.
To make it an interesting question, Would you stand by and watch a man kill 10 people or would you kill him to save those 10?
There is always going to be murder on this planet. What you have to do is hope that you are on the right side of what is happening. If you feel you are on the wrong side, you can always move.
I am not completely OK with war....but I do believe someone has to do something when there are others suffering. If you stand around and do nothing but watch the suffering of others.....you might as well be pulling the trigger yourself. Inaction can make you just as guilty as the person doing the deed.

Abortion is wrong because it takes an innocent human life. The war is wrong because we attacked them when we were not attacked or provoked and we are losing the lives of many soldiers for a lie. And now we're in a mess.

Peace!
I am not pro war but the difference is: abortion is murder; war maybe an act of self-defense.

the way i look at it as the more babies they have the more soldiers they have to fight their wars right? not to mention this does come from the same group who rationalize that it's ok to kill the doctors who do the abortions in order to "preserve life"

So, some people are ok with some murder. I prefer to say some people are ok with murderers being killed. Is that wrong (to kill murderers)?

You do know that there is a difference between a just war and murder? Now you can claim a war is unjust for political reasons but a murder is an individual act.

Christians are not "pro-war" in any general sense. War is never the will of God. But there is such a thing as just participation in a war, especially if it is in defense of the innocent. Abortion in contrast is never defensible. It is always a direct attack upon the innocent.

If you used this theory amongst all the liberals out there opposing the war abortions in the US would have to stop.Or doesn't it apply when you turn your question around?

Amazing how most Liberals cannot see the difference between an INNOCENT baby that has never threatened anyone, and terrorists GUILTY of all manner of evils against humainity. I guess they don't WANT to see the difference. What does that say about them???
