If you have thick, curly hair is it a good idea to get a chin-length cut?

I had your same question a few years ago. I have learned that you shouldn't get short hair if you have thick curly hair.

Here are the reasons:
1. your hair will get more curly as it is shorter
2. curly hair always looks a little "dry ended" however can be corrected by occasional hair cuts. You can't do this though if you have short hair.
3. it frizzes all the time!!! There is no weight that holds down the curly when you need it most
4. you can't manage it as well - no more hair ties on bad hair days

Sigh, I have learned my lesson. Your hair may have a different effect of course - however from one thick curly haired girl, I wouldn't suggest it. I'm sure you will make the correct choice though, good luck!

I've seen some people who looked great that way, and some who didn't. Whether a particular length looks good on you has more to do with your face than it does with your hair texture. If your face is really round, it probably would emphasize that if it were chin-length, but if you have a narrow face, the chin-length hair might make you look more energetic.

not at all cause ur hair is gonna look shorter at times cause the curlier it gets some days ''the shorter it will look so if ur thick girl ,you dont want to cut ur hair short especially if its real curly unless ur gonna straighten it every day!
