Levesque is a French Name it could either be from France or Quebec Canada, as Many French settled Quebec in the 17th and Eighteenth Centuries. There are also Levesques in Ottawa Canada very popular name here

It's definitely French. In Quebec, Canada there was a Premier by the name of Rene Levesque.

possible french,but it could also be that the original name is spanish, the gue makes it look that way, but lev could be greek like levcas
