My friend and I are heading for the area in early March... any fun there? Anything romantic to do?

Thanks.

There's no end to fun in all of these places.
Annapolis: wander the downtown area, take the water taxi tour around the harbor, if it's nice eat crabs outside at the romantic creek-side Cantler's Riverside Inn, and if the weather is bad, have the best Spanish-Mexican food anywhere at Jalapeno's on Forest Avenue. Wander along the waterfront at the Naval Academy.

DC: The Smithsonean is a must. All of its associated museums are free and wonderful, including the National Zoo. Take a side trip to the south end of Hains Point where a wonderful sculpture 'screams' out of the ground. Have a romantic picnic here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Awakening_(Johnson_sculpture)

Baltimore: the aquarium, the downtown waterfront, take in an Orioles game! See if you can get a harbor ride on the Clipper City, a wonderful 160-ft clipper sailing ship that sits right in the Harbor.

Here in Balimore you can go to the Inner Harbor. There are plenty of restaurants that you can go to like The Cheesecake Factory, McCormick and Schmick's, Paolo's and Ruth's Chris. The National Aquarium in Baltimore is also at the Inner Harbor. The France Merrick Theater is also here in addition to the Hippodrome so you can check out live shows. There are plenty of bars in between here and DC so barhopping is also another idea. The Science Center is not too far from the aquarium. The Baltimore Museum of Art and The Walters Art Gallery may provide some additional sightseeing. Have fun!!

My husband and I went to Annapolis for the first time earlier this month and loved it! It's such a nice little town. We loved the water side and Naval Academy area. We also hit up the Prime Outlets while we were out there. As for D.C. I would suggest doing all the touristy things (if you haven't) makes for a fun walking trip, while sight seeing.

I love the dinner boat cruises on the Potomac River..there are lunch cruises, dinner cruises( for romance) and late night cruises. Fun! Also if you like the arts, there are always concerts and performances at The Kennedy Center! Old Town Alexandria is fun too, I love to eat at the Fish Market...the Margaritas and buffalo shrimp are the best!
