Dealers actually use "Posca Pens", which can be purchased at dealer supply outlets (depends on where you live).
You can also purchase the stick on numbers that dealers use, and if you have a dealership that you frequent for service,etc..., or know a used car salesperson, they may be able to get these for you.

On the glass itself, that would be white shoe polish. It would be a lot easier to just get a couple For Sale signs.

i don't no if car dealers use it but i know some ppl and i do it my self we use deodorant the white kind
then just write on the glass what u want to say

if you have a Walmart near you, they have these markers that are in hardware that you can write with. and it washes off.
