The Jewish people are Gods chosen people...our Lord and Savior Jesus was Himself a Jew...however, because the Jews rejected him as being the promised Messiah...they even handed Him over to the Romans to be crucified....so God gave grace unto the Gentiles to provoke the Jews to jealousy...we, as Gentiles (not of Jewish decent) were grafted in at the cross...it is and has always been Gods plan to save us all...the way to be saved is at the feet of Jesus...at the cross...

It leaves Christians as part of the largest practiced religion worldwide. Sitting at the top as being practiced by 33% of the worlds population. Better a Christian eating at McDonalds in America than a one legged Jew begging for scraps on a corner in Jerusalem I always say.

I would bet that if you were able to trace your family history back far enough you would find at least one ancestor who was of the Jewish faith. But never has the bible only been just for Jews but for all people. Check out Jonah and why he got swallowed by the whale. He was running from preaching to those whom the Jews hated.

The Jews are God's chosen people right up to the year 70.
After that, God's chosen people are those that do what he asks.

That is to say, if you believe in this stuff.
If one doesn't, then it means nothing.
