It's not OK...it's GREAT!! I usually play better after a few good drinks. It loosens me up and I swing more smoothly. It doesn't work for everyone, and there is a limit to which you should go. For instance, if you have to shut one eye before you swing so you only see one ball, then it's time to lay off. I grew up on and still play on a short 9 hole course where the philosophy has always been: "Even when your game's bad the liquor is always good."

As long as you aren't disrupting the play of others, play however you want.
