take some tylenol or aspirin for right now. if there is decay you need to get it fixed, ice will also help but i would suggest getting to the nearest dentist in the meantime. if you get an infection it can spread to the bloodstream and turn into septic shock which can kill you. You need to get this fixed, no matter if you kill the nerve or not you're going to be in pain. Usually with cavities the surrounding teeth are effected as well.

Good Luck!!!

there is no better cure than dentistry. anything used to mask the pain will not stop the decay. you need the hole repaired and the longer you wait, the more sick you will become, as the low grade infection will slowly poison your whole body because of swallowing the saliva, and you will weaken your immune system.

you need to do whatever it takes to get it to a dentist.

I'm a dentist.

Sorry pal, you are out of luck. There is no way for you to do it. If I were you, I'd make arrangements to get to a doctor ASAP.

you can use a tea bag or a asprin write on it for now, or pull it , yourself tie a string around the door knob and the other end on your tooth and then shut the door, good luck, or ice pack on your face,
