Is is basically the same thing?
I don't want to take it if it's the same thing. I've overcome a dependency on Vicodin, and don't want to go back down that road. I told the doctor this, but he didn't seem like he was listening, so i thought I'd ask here before I take anything.

Vicodin can become very addicting if you take it every so many hours. I didn't like it for that reason. I used Aleve and that really works great. Anytime you use pain killers they can become very addicting depending on the strenghth and how many you use. I used 1 daily and that was ok and quit when I had too but I try not to get dependant on them. Call and ask your local pharmacist what would be good for you as everyone is different.

I know just what you mean about vicodin. I had both of my knees replaced a year and half ago together and had to take pain meds a long time. vicodin is very addictive. I now have a torn rotor cup in my shoulder and he is giving me tylenol with codiene. I am wondering the same thing, since I have gone off the vicodine. I have read that they are basicaly the same, so we many be in trouble again...I hope not. You can try looking it up on the web like I did and it will tell you more about it.
