There is a concert on March 17th and I really want to go with my bro and sis. I'll be 18 by then but my parents don't want me to go. They won't stop us but I'm just confused. They say we could get hurt. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

They're just being concerned, loving parents. They're worried that you'll get hurt or get involved in the wrong thing. I don't know what kind of concert it is, but at a rock/rap concerts things tend to get pretty rough and you never know what could happen. All it could take would be one minute alone for someone to grab you and kill you. It sounds unbelievable since you'll be 18, but it can happen to anyone. They're just trying to protect you and show that they care/want you to be safe.

From personal experience, concerts are a huge waste of money and time. The band is never as good as their recordings, everyone annoyingly sings along with every song, and everyone is intoxicated and acts like an a--hole. Then, you realize that all this crap was not worth the high price of admission. My advice is to save the money and buy CDs instead if you like a band's music.

It must be a rock band they can get rough. But they do have alot of security but people use those type places to go wild.

Your parents have concerns. Just explain to them that they raised a good person, who knows how to make good choices. If they trust how they raised you then they should not have anything to worry about.
