You are off on the wrong tangent.
Observe with me for a moment that there are mass populations elsewhere that make America seem boundless and welcoming.
China 1.3 billion
India over 1 billion
Some South American cities have over twenty five million.
With New York at over 8 million, there's room for lots more. (Sorry to admit!)
Closing borders is like building the Great Wall of China. It's sole purpose today is for scenic value.
So, go ahead, cave into the closing of borders drumbeat.
Also, make darn sure we are going to keep tabs on everyone coming and going. This will all be costly, but what the heck, with the national debt at almost nine trillion, whats a few billion more anyway.
With 911 not fully understood/solved, just go along with the closing down of America cries I hear, but remember, corporations have mostly gone global, and business is now conducted with most industrialized nations of the world.
...and you are worried about a few Mexicans?
Whatever happened to the war on drugs? I know, it became crushed by the war on terrorism.
Keep this thing going. Why not a war on immigrants as well!
Get in touch with the politicians. Tell them you want a new war on immigrants.
What's needed most of all is good paying jobs, and unless the top corporate executives stop hoarding all spoils for themselves, you ain't going to see them good jobs coming back ever again.
So, you need someone to blame.
I'd look at the Enron types before I place judgement on a couple of million Mexicans.

I have to agree - close the borders temporarily until we can do a few things... 1 - deport the illegals that are already here 2 - figure out a realistic and fair entry system for LEGAL immigration 3 - SECURE the borders so that the illegals we just deported don't come right back 4 - Set up certain requirements for entry - such as learning English
America is made up of foreigners, and our government was founded by foreigners. And I have no problems whatsoever with people of different nationalities, provided they entered the US legally. As a matter of fact, I have a great respect for them - can you imagine leaving everything you know for a new country? I do have to point out that most blacks aren't foreigners - their ancestors have been here a long time, longer than some of our own ancestors.

Canadians have a good country up there so they don't really are to come here illegally. However mexico is another case scenario. They come here to work our jobs that we don't want right? If they employer wasn't so cheap and raised the wage then that would solve the problem. Work in the country you are a citizen in. In other countries they shoot people that dare cross their borders illegally. Maybe we should do the same.

have you ever even seen a map of the U.S.? How do you plan last the borders of the 0.33 greatest usa interior the international? How do you plan last our borders without turning us into the former Soviet Union or into Iran or Burma? Mexico has continually had complications. it is continually been corrupt and violent. there is no longer a lot diverse about immediately's "conflict" between drug kings than about the day handed by's battles between the drug gangs down there. we are being manipulated into wondering that issues are uncontrolled and that some thing desires to be achieved. Yawn.....

First off use Illegal alien not Mexican as Illegal is not a race and not all Illegal alien Invader rejects are from Mexico. It cheapens your view to use race Card
Canada needs a Wall also keep the socialist out then again it would keep the surrender monkeys that want to retreat to Canada in the USA, What a Quandary
tell your Reps
Build the wall, deport them all when found, Jail employers of Illegal Alien Invader Rejects

You have no fears of that happening from Canadians. We actually are short workers. So much so in Alberta they are offering $15.00 an hour to work in Tim Horton's (our Dunkin Donuts) and pour coffee. We are actually trying to bring people into the country to work. Besides, we like our health care, education system and ability to travel word wide and not be hated. Not everyone wants to be American. Best be nice Canada will have the largest oil reserve by 2010 in the Alberta Oil Sands.

Don't think that will haooen. I would have agreed with you if Canada were poor. But those canadians are sitting on a lot of waelth so I won't worry about them too much. Also, Americans and go there and take their jobs too and still live well.
But then again, there's no business like show business and no country like da USA!!!

Stricter border control is a giant issue-But I believe anyone with white supremcy implications should be sent out of the US first and then the borders should be shut!

What is the point of having and funding Homeland Security and the TSA (strip searching grandmothers and prohibiting toothpaste in your carry on) if the borders are wide open? Such a farce.
