I just want to APPLAUD you for doing this the right way. Whether or not the other boy is into you, you did not "cheat" on your boyfriend first to find out. Even if it hurt your bf's feelings to break it off, at least you didn't cheat on him and then break the news later.
So many "jerry springer" guests don't get that. They start liking a new person and instead of breaking it off with the one they are currently with, they just cheat and then later break their boy/girlfriend's heart by announcing that they've been cheating on them.
You are a mature and responsible person. No matter who you end up with, he's a lucky guy.
