We live in an apt and our neighbors below us fight a lot a lot a lot. The other morning you could hear the guy yelling at his g/f : "Shut the f**k up you piece of s**t b**ch, before I f****g kill you!!!!!! " So this went on for a while then my hubby kinda thumped the floor as to say be quite and the guy rammed something against his ceiling and said "You shut the f*** up to or else I'll kill you too!!!!!!"
Anyway, although we were not scared or anything by it, we did call the police just to protect the guy's g/f and their baby. So the police took a report and did their thing yada yada yada. Anyway..did we do the right thing by calling the police? We are not staying there but for another 2 wks so it's not like he's gonna come and get us back for narcing him out or anything. I dunno...it was pretty scary though!

Yeah I'd say you did the right thing. A person that is verbally abusive like that will only get worse. Maybe his girlfriend will wise up and leave him soon.

Glad you guys are moving soon, you shouldn't have to put up with that everyday either.

Yes you did do the right thing. We have a guy here that does that in our apt complex and he lives at the other end but he tells his g/f to shut the f---k up too and he shoves her . I always want to tell him why dont you try to come up here and shove me? I know why he dont cause I will beat his a-- all the way to kingdomcome see I aint no little girl he can beat on I am a grown woman and I stand up to men like that . I say that there aint been a man alive or born that i am scared of . So yeah you did the right thing. I cant wait till they kick his butt out of here . good luck to you.

You definitely did the right thing....Congrat's to you for having the nerve to get invovled & not turn away. That's what it's gonna take - not only in domestic situations but with gangs, drugs, animal cruelty, vandalism....For people to get invovled - make the call to the police and report it, take our streets, neighborhoods, and complexes back from the "bad elements"..
Again, you did the right thing. It is very scarrie...maybe if the police are called & get there in time & can see evidence of physical abuse or actually hear him being verbally abusive & threatening, the child will be removed from that environment.
(Maybe the Mom will have the courage to leave...)

I'm sure the woman/baby are thankful that you called. Hopefully he'll figure out that he can't get away with this. I know that you did the right thing. If you see her.....give her a number to an abuse hot line or something. Try to give her some encouragement to leave that guy.

No you weren't narcing them out. You have a right to peace and quiet, just like everyone else. If this anus wants to treat his family like crap, then others don't need to hear about it. If his g/f was smart, she'd dump him like a bad habit. Don't worry about this loser......just do your own thing and if you got to call the cops again, don't hesitate to do so. Best of luck to you.

Well I was raised in a bad neighborhood in Miami. There isn't much you can do to prevent things of this nature from happening nor would I try to stop it! It could end of getting you into more chit then you could handle! Your best bet is to move.

Whenever you see or hear abuse it is your duty to report it no matter whether it is an adult or a child. That's not being nosy that's being a concerned citizen.
