I've liked this boy for quite a while now, but don't know if he likes me and don't want to look like an idiot by making the first move... He's usually really chatty with me, but I sat with him and some friends at lunch and he went really quiet and looked at the table... do you think this is a good sign?

i think you beter take the first step as son as you can . you can be sure because you love him and it's enough.

Don't base everything on one lunch. He may have had a bad day or gotten a bad grade or been embarrassed about something. It's not necessarily a bad sign, give him another chance. You could ask him why he was so quiet the other day at lunch. Give him a chance to explain.
