coming from a girl instead of a guy:
buying stuff is nice but only on holidays and nothing big (unless your like married or sumthing).. I broke up with one of my BFs because all he ever did was buy me stuff he never had time to talk and i felt akward being around him because I knew how much money he spent on me. If you want to "blow her mind" just kiss her in front of her friends. And your friends. Or both. Always be there for her, and listen to her cry on the fone at 2 a.m. if she needs you.

Well, do her something nice. Take her car and have it detailed and fully cleaned with a full tank of gas put into it for her. Take her to a nice little restaurant as a surprise, no strings attached night out. A nice bouquet of flowers(roses are a little much sometimes, think something pretty and with lots of color) delivered to her work or brought over to her place for no reason go over quite well. Even just taking her over to her place and giving her a nice long foot massage with some peppermint lotion REALLY earns you some kudos! Especially if you bring dark chocolate with you for her! Spend all night talking to her about her day at work, her personal issues, or even just a cozy time on the couch watching a movie(think something romantic like water for chocolate, regarding henry, the place promised in our younger[early?] days[english dubbed prefferably!], sense and sensibiltity, etc.) Ask her if she wants to just go for a nice walk in the park. In other words: Just spend quality, not quantity, time with her!

I can tell you the best thing my husband did. We were having some problems and I had told him that I needed to get off the roller coaster and jump on the merry-go-round,so he took me to a place where there was a big merry-go-round and we rode together and had a pic taken on it. He gave me flowers and a nice dinner out. I loved that he remembered what I had said and had done that. Iove that I have the pic as a reminder.
