My daughter is 16 and she did this: She bought a cute basket, bought some gold, shinny material to place inside the basket- weaved the basket with small gold ribbon- On the handle of the basket, she put a big ribbon on it-then she is going to bake his favorite cookies in a heart shape and put them in a cute valentines bag- she placed all his favorite things in there. He likes frogs and she bought these cute frogs that were hugging and kissing and put them into the basket- Then she bought a black picture frame(not so feminine but really nice) and place a picture of them together in it- She also bought a card for him.... She is also added rose petals and sprinkled all over inside the basket.

In my opinion you both need to slow down. you've been together 4 months?
I understand "1st love" dear but you really are moving too fast. He sounds like he really knows how to flatter.

Honestly I can't think of a thing a 16 year old who's been dating for less than 4 months should get for valentines day

Get him a " Get Out Of Valentines Day Free Card " . It works just like a bonds card ... This will relive him from all the BS duties of buying you crap on a day that really isn't a reason to celebrate ..

try doin something special for him like plain a night for jus him cook a meal for him (his favorite foods of course) write him a letter.. or get him a card from the heart telling him how important he has been too u...read it too him then maybe jus sit back and relax in one another arms for the rest of the night..and watch some movies...it doesnt have to be about material things it should be about love and caring thoughts...good luck:O)

you get a gift certificate to a fancy restaurant that you would like to go to and give it to him so he can take you out on a romantic date!
You both win....and its sentimental
