Asking a religious teacher about sex is like asking an ice cube about the Saharah. What other answer is he going to say?
YES sex is that necessary. Once you try it you'll understand why. Don't listen to a guy who's never had sex to tell you why it is or isn't necessary.

Well technically as individuals we will survive without it, but as a species, yes it is necessary for survival.
On a personal level, sex may not be necessary but it can really enhance your relationship. It is fun, good exercise, releases endorphins which make you feel happy, feels amazing, and really brings you closer to your partner. Sex provides a special intimacy you just can't get any other way.
People (and some animals) have always had sex for pleasure, it's just that we have contraception now so people are more free to do it without having to worry about whether it will result in child number 7, or some sort of disease.
The moral of the story is don't listen to everything your religion teacher tells you!

I don’t think organized religion is good people got it all messed up by turning a good idea into a belief system. To answer your? It is not a necessary a but we need pleasure but if you use it purely for that reason you should accept the consequences remember that’s not it we were domed when people stopped helping each other for the joy of helping not recognition was a hell worthy act. On the sex doom thing it did not help selfishness made humanity preoccupied with that. Family is the most important thing people forget that

Besides the enjoyment you have some good side-effects too.
Having regular and enthusiastic sex, by contrast, confers a host of measurable physiological advantages, be you male or female.
In one of the most credible studies correlating overall health with sexual frequency, Queens University in Belfast tracked the mortality of about 1,000 middle-aged men over the course of a decade. The study was designed to compare persons of comparable circumstances, age and health. Its findings, published in 1997 in the British Medical Journal, were that men who reported the highest frequency of orgasm enjoyed a death rate half that of the laggards. Other studies (some rigorous, some less so) purport to show that having sex even a few times a week has an associative or causal relationship with the following:
Improved sense of smell:
Reduced risk of heart disease
Weight loss, overall fitness
Dr. Claire Bailey of the University of Bristol says there is little or no risk of a woman's overdosing on sex. In fact, she says, regular sessions can not only firm a woman's tummy and buttocks but also improve her posture.
Reduced depression
Pain-relief
Less-frequent colds and flu
Better bladder control
A happier prostate? Some urologists believe they see a relationship between infrequency of ejaculation and cancer of the prostate

That's the problem with religion!!!
Anyway. The evolutionary reason why it feels good when we have sex is because if it didn't, we wouldn't reproduce.
That being said, why would you want to keep sex only for reproduction? Sex feels good, above all if you like the person you're doing it with. Maybe you're still young, so haven't felt the "urge" yet! No need to rush, but in the end, it is an important part of a relationship. Otherwise, it's called friendship for me.

That teacher is someone who needs some! I agree that sex is not just for plessure but it is also an expression of love. I'd be teansed up and grouchy if I didn't have it in a while. So yes, I think it is necessary.

Yes & No. As you said it is necessary for procreation of offsprings.
Just going around having random sex isn't necessary at all. In my opinion, it makes you trashy & shows a lack of respect for yourself.
However, people will choose to do as they please.
Some religions do feel that way; Kind of one of those "If you have sex, you will get pregnant & die" things, which is quite silly.
If I were you, I would do what you feel is best; don't let others put things into your head if you don't want to feel the same about it!

Ok, for one that is a teacher and a teacher shouldn't be putting their opinions out there. It's inappropriate.
Two, we are animals and are made to feel sexual pleasure so we would WANT to have sex and thusly have children. It's a necessary step in evolution and we share this ability to orgasm with other animals. Dolphins, apes, pigs, they all have sex for pleasure.
If we were to be doomed for having sex for pleasure, why have we been doing that all along and why has God not punished us for it?
After all, GOD gave us that ability, right?

of course when you indulge in a pleasure too much it turns for the worst. However sex is also for pleasure. If God didn't want us to enjoy it then he wouldn't have made it the way. Trust me I'm married, sex is awesome! It's a way to show show love in a relationship, it kills time, and yes it is needed to reproduce. Trust me, if you get married and are not into sex, and you only have it to procreate, then you and your husband will not have a great marriage. It's necessary.
