I was in the same situation a while back. The only advise I can give you is to go out with the boy! It doesn't matter if your friends like him or not, because they are not the ones that are dating him. If you like him who cares? You will be happy, so thats all that matters. I am now going out with the guy my friends hate, but they have learned to cope with it. So eventually your frineds will get over it too, it just may take some time. Hope this helps!

Maybe you should get your friends & him together some how. All of you have a fun night out. Maybe your friends will see all the great qualities that you see in him, & they'll give him a chance.

Well your friends aren't going to date him you are right? Could they be jealous? ask them why they don't like him. Could be they may know something about him that you don't, you never know unless you ask. However, i think it may be the jealous thing, women can be like that sometimes lol, maybe they think he may take to much of your time, do they have bf's right now? Anyway i wouldn't worry myself about it, you will be the one who dates him, not them. Good luck

Do you like a guy just to please your friends? Do you know why they don't like him? Are they really your friends if they don't like him just because you do?

im in the same situation! but i dont care about what my friendz or what neone else thinks about him! i like him for who he is and no one else is having to date him so they can just shut up and get a life! cuz if they truely are your friendz they will step aside and not worry you w/ stupid things and get you confused! but ill warn you now, you will explain yourself almost everyday to ppl cuz they will judge this guy and you and always ask you why you like him! and they will give you their opinions and stuff! so just tell them that you dont care what they think cuz you like him and your happy and thats all that matters! Go out with him. Who cares what your friends think. You need to be happy. They'll still be there for you if it doesn't work out.

just go with your gut don't bother with what other people think if they don't support you 100% in liking him they aren't good friends just follow your heart and it will turn out ok
