My mom is a lovely lady who does not like drinks to taste *too* alcoholic or strong. She loves cosmopolitans, but we have yet to find the Perfect one for her. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Well if you don't like it as strong, just add more cranberry and lime juice.
A typical cosmo is made:
2 - 3 oz. of citron vodka (or whatever you prefer)
1 oz. of Cointreau (or you can use triple sec or whatever else you prefer)
1 oz. of cranberry juice
1/2 - 1 oz.of lime juice
Pour contents into a shaker with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass.

That is a regular one, but for less booze,
just use 1 oz. vodka, 1/2 oz. cointreau, 1 oz. cran, 1 oz. lime
That might hit the spot!

Good luck and be safe!

2 shots top shelf vodka
1 shot Cointreau
1 shot cranberry juice
Small piece muddled lime
fresh ginger

Muddle a piece of lime in a shaker w/ice, add the other ingredients. Include a couple small pieces of the fresh ginger (don't muddle w/the lime). Shake, pour into a chilled martini glass over a long stick of the fresh ginger to serve.

The ginger doesn't impart a strong taste, just a hint of flavor. It's lovely.
