Make sure to use day old bread or lightly toast the bread before you soak it in the egg mixture. Allow it to remain in the egg mixture for about 30 sec. per side. I use half and half with milk instead of just straight milk.

Beat some eggs, add some pure vanilla extract, a little milk, and some cinnamon. Mix well, add your favorite bread and fry. This is the serious way. This is the way my ex-girlfriend made it: All she did, because she was from France is to take some bread and lick both sides, then fry it up.

don't use tip.always use bread.Preferably, French bread.French bread is usually very thick and it won't fit in your toaster.so you will have to toast it over a spit (no ,not that spit) or BBQ.When doing this, you have to be very careful, cos it goes into flames .Actually,I think that it is too much trouble so I just pop over the Channel on the Eurostar and let the French make it.
