1 Kings 15:1-2
Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam the son of Nebat reigned Abijam over Judah. Three years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.

2 Chronicles 13:1-2
Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam began Abijah to reign over Judah. Three years reigned he in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Michaiah the daughter of Uriel.

I think that is a contradiction.

It's not a contradiction, it is simply another form of spelling that name.
For example: The name Amy can also be spelled Ami, Ame.....But that doesn't mean it can't be the same person just others spelling her name wrong......People spell my name differently too, but I'm still Mandy even if somone sends me a letter addressed to Mandi. LOL

Maacah and Micaiah are the same person but two different spellings.

Maacah (Micaiah) was Absalom’s granddaughter. Absalom’s three sons apparently died young and childless (See 2 Samuel 14:27; 18:18.) So Micaiah must have been the child of Absalom’s daughter Tamar and of Uriel, not the son of Absalom, but the son-in-law.

Absalom is evidently called Abishalom at 1 Kings.
