MSG causes more pain the child birth and having your teeth pulled at the same time if you have an allergy to it and I do. I have seen me hospitalized over foods that the MSG is not listed but present. It is a preservative no longer needed. It should be banned. Or have its own section in the grocery store, so it is out front where people can see it is present.

Unfortunately, the food companies know what it does and that is why they put it in our food. There are many studies on MSG and it is one ingredient, along with high fructose corn syrup, that actually makes us fat. The theory is that fat people eat more. And they do, they have to eat more to sustain the body weight, so the body cries "Feed Me" more often. Also it is actually addicting. It "enhances flavor". So these two combined make us want more food. So do the food companies really care if we are sick? They make more money as we continue to eat more because we are addicted to it and fat! And all corporations have an obligation to make more profits for the stock holders.

So sad and true. There are many food products out there with just as bad the ingredients. Not too much of anything is safe to eat anymore.

beware that msg comes under many other names too, autolyzed yeast extract, natural flavorings, etc. I eat only organic veg and fruit, no meat because it has unlabled msg in it too! Google meat solution for more info. Once I started realizing what toxic crap is in commercial foods, I gave them all up. My little girl and I are thriving now that we are not flooded with toxins. I went from being crippled with lupus, to being perfectly fine, and my daughters allergies went away! So much to worry about in food!

The food industry will do whatever it can get away with.
MSG has been linked to migraines and mental problems.
The sodium in Baking powder has been linked to heart problems and blood pressure. The aluminum in Baking powder has been linked to Parkinson's.
As long as we allow this stuff and buy it ... it will continue.
