I have this project to do about careers. Since I'm going to high school next year, they've got us talking about careers we're interested in.

You're supposed to narrow it down to three jobs. And I have. They are : Lawyer, Police Office, and CSI Investigator.
Now, I've known since I was a young little girl that I was going to grow up and do something in the Criminal Justice area. It's my passion, and I love it.

Although, I need your opinions on which career you think is the best?

Also, what is the difference between these three careers.

What is the pay like for each three? (I have to know the salary for the project!)

What are the Pros & Cons for each of the three careers?!

And, I also need to know, if you had a choice to be one of the three careers, what career would you choose , and why?

I think the main difference is education. I think lawyer requires the most, CSO second, and police officers really do not have to have college in most areas. You usually get pay raises if you do. Just figure the Police officer is the grunt work, you are in the streets working, you see the crimes first, you sometimes stop them, you serve the public. CSI's inspect the crime scene and preserve evidence. You work for the DA. You only get called after the fact and your sole job is to collect evidence and not to really make assumptions. Don't let the TV show mislead you. And the lawyer is the guy who deals with the end result. They make the conclusions. You also have to decide whether you will go into criminal law, contract law, etc. Defense or prosecution. I can say that I wanted to be a defense lawyer when I was in High School, until i figured out that too many people are just getting off for BS reasons. As for me I work in a jail. I am a Correctional Officer. If all the previous people do their jobs right, then I get to deal with them.

First of all, Lawyer is completely removed from Police Officer or CSI officer. Secondly, lawyer pays the most. Police Officer and CSI pay about the same. I cant give you a salary as it varies state to state. Just contact someone in your area. Also, in some states CSI officers are Police officers, they just do a different job. Lawyers either defend or prosecute criminals (if you remain in the field of criminal law). Police Officers enforce laws and protect citizens while CSI does forensic work at scenes. IE photography, evidence collection, fingerprints, etc.
Personally, I went for police officer because being a lawyer seems boring to me and CSI doesnt have enough action for me. It just depends on what you want.
