Thomas Kinkade is America's most collected living artist. Coming from a modest background, Kinkade emphasizes simple pleasures and inspirational messages through his paintings. Thomas Kinkade is an extremely successful commercial artist. He has painted plenty of original canvas paintings in his earlier years, selling many of them especially in California however; during the last 15 years or so, he has hired commercial artists to finish his painings. Some art critics don't like him because he is very commercial but on the other hand, his work is very nice ans he is very very sucessful. Galleries are located in nearly every state.
