your opinion on colt45?

i've heard many different opinions on the beer Colt45..i thought it was really good and i didn't need to drink much to feel it but i was also stoned so i wanted to know what anyone else thought

haha i guess i had really bad kottonmouth that nite bc when that happens i'll even drink plain liquor.
and the guys i was with are cokeheads. i refuse to try it but i guess they wanted to save their money for coke lol

Ahhh, didnt like it that much, I prefer drinking heineken, presidente, corona, becks.. etc. BTW you look cute, I wouldnt mine drinking a couple of cold colts with you. and I gave you a star..wink

When I first had Colt 45 Malt Liquor, back in 1968 or 1969, we thought the name was "cool" and the bigger can it came in made us feel even more "cool". There was a Schlitz Malt Liquor also, that I think the name "Bull" fit in there somewhere, and was prevalent in their advertising, and we thought that was "cool" too. So, we'd drink it to see who could be the "most cool" and stay sober the longest and look the "coolest" as we drank the most we could, talking back and forth about the "good" taste of one over the other, like real afficianados of malt liquor and beer and alcohol in general. Now, as I look back almost 40 years and remember those "wonderful" times with my friends, all I can think is how totally ignorant and stupid we were and looked, and the embarrassment of how immature we were and acted is so embarrassing that I wish I had never heard of the trash. It didn't taste too bad, but then what can I really remember from drunken episodes almost 40 years ago as we rode around in our very serious muscle cars. We were just a bunch of spoiled, ignorant adolescents trying to be "cool". So, what do I think of Colt 45 Malt Liquor? It's a great source of acutely embarrassing memories for you in later life, if you stay sober long enough to live that long. All my words here are to encourage you to save yourself from the grossely, excruciatingly embarrassing memories you're gonna have later. But then, it's YOUR life. Do as you please. God Bless you.

You guys are hilarious. All beer is made from malted barley. Malt Liquor is a label attached to certain beers (by governments) that weigh in above a certain alcohol level.

In the state of Colorado, anything above 4.8% abv (Alcohol By Volume) is considered a malt liquour. That means Coors Light fits the definition.

Socially, the malt liquor label is assigned by the culture. Usually malt liquor is a label reserved to refer to cheap, poorly made beer.

Personally I don't like Colt 45. Maybe back in the day, but my favorite 40 is a Mickeys. I haven't had one in about 4 years though.

It is a very cheap beer that only alcoholics drink. Most of the time it's older black men. I work in a gas station, so I see all the people who buy it, and it's a common known fact that usually older black alcoholics drink it.

it's really gross...it's kinda like the grossness of steel reserve! But of course it being cheap...and sometimes I'm broke. It's pretty good when you haven't had it for a while...or you just want to get messed up. But yeah...LOL it was because you were stoned...LOL sounds like you had cottonmouth to me...MGD is the way to go!

malt liquor will do that to you. especially cheaper brands. i tasted it before and it gave me a headache after a couple of sips.

I didnt like it. not much in to the malts. Jack and cokes are good.
