look Nina, forget everybody else comments.
The language is to learn is "Spanish."
Spanish is actually a universal language not french or Anglo English. Spanish is a language spoken by over 800 million and counting. Spanish will live on, not anglo English for crying out loud. Spanish is a language coming near you mi chica. Unless you want to stay in New Orleans or Canada, and Francia then speak french however, Spanish is a language for you.
Dont take my word for it, take Latin america, Cenrtal America, Mexico, 42nd parrell (old Mexico), carribean, and finally mi mother land ESPANA.......!!!!!!!!!! Ole. Gracias senorita.
"Spanish is Latin, not Anglo English." Vega Valencia.

I took French for 4 years in high school and I liked it and everything but looking back I wish I had taken Spanish, because there is more of a need to know Spanish than French here. Unless you are planning to eventually move to France or visit often, I am not sure how useful it is to be honest. I think French is harder than Spanish as well. Nothing against the French language this is just my own personal experience. So I would say Spanish, and if I could do it over again I would have taken Spanish too.

I am taking Spanish and it is really fun and anyways I think it is more useful than French because Spanish is the second language in most places. Spanish is also more easier to speak and understand. If you really want to learn a language that can help you in many places I advise you to take SPANISH. Adios.

I've studied Spanish for 5 years (it's my major at college), and although I don't know French, a lot of my friends study it and we talk about the differences between the two languages. From what I hear them tell me, Spanish grammar is DEFINITELY easier! lol.

I'm not a fan of the way French sounds, and I think Spanish is a lot of fun because of the way it flows and such. I love it! And the most useful is definitely Spanish because it's one of the 3 most widely spoken languages in the world.

Hope that helps! I'm pushin for Spanish! lol.

I'd say Spanish is definitely more useful. It's getting to be a second language is the U.S. It could possibly help you when you are looking for a job so you could relate in Spanish to customers when necessary. I feel Spanish is also easier to learn. Which one is more fun? Well, I don't know. I guess it depends whom you're talking with.

In the US you'll find a lot more uses for Spanish than you will for French. They're both Latin-based languages, so both will have similarities to English, but as someone who studied Spanish in high school & then in college, I really like the language, and I use it a lot (both at work and when I go out to the salsa clubs...) but I'm biased.

You should definitley take Spanish. Spanish seems hard at frist but it is really easy and really fun. French wouldn't be that useful to you here, in the US. But there are a ton of Spanish speaking Americans. Listen to me, I come from 6 years of Spanish. 1st-5th grade and now 8th grade.

I love speaking Spanish! Thats just my opinion. A good reason to take it is because there are some cognates (words that look close to english) in Spanish.. plus with the growing rate of hispanic immigrants, why not take it and understand what ppl are saying?

Good luck!

this is my 3rd year taking spanish. it's fun until the conjugations in spanish 2. I believe spanish is more useful. unless you live near where many ppl speak french... like canada.
i haven't taken french before though, but i've heard my friends speak in french, and it's more of a nasal sound.
